The combat system of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is one of shonen's best. Starting in the third story arc, Stardust Crusaders, the heroes and villains began wielding Stands in battle, or supernatural manifestations of their will. Each Stand has its own unique combat moves and special techniques, some of which are devastating or just downright weird.

Special attacks in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure are creative, useful, and quite dangerous much of the time, with some being capable of slaughtering entire groups of people at once. Such special attacks may debilitate the opponent in gruesome or strange ways, and others can deal incredible damage and win the fight with ease. Some special attacks can only be unlocked after meeting certain conditions, but they are totally worth it.

10/10 Sticky Fingers Has Some Slick Moves
Sticky Fingers, localized as Zipper Man, is Bruno Bucciarati's Stand. This humanoid Stand can deal serious damage with its punches, but it truly shines when it employs its special attack, the ability to create zippers on any solid surface. It can even create zippers on living things, usually people.
This is far more useful than it sounds. With those special zipper attacks, Sticky Fingers can teleport around the battlefield, evade enemy attacks, and even split the opponent's body into pieces. Then, if the zipper effect is undone, the opponent's body remains split apart, which may prove fatal.
9/10 Crazy Diamond Can Fix Anything
Crazy Diamond, just like Sticky Fingers, is a melee Stand whose ability is much more useful than it may sound at first. Crazy Diamond can deliver powerful punches, but its special attack is on another level. When it strikes an object or person, Crazy Diamond can seamlessly heal or repair that object.
This has many uses that a creative mind like Josuke's can take advantage of. With that repair attack, Josuke can break an item, lure an enemy there, then fix the item around the enemy to trap them. Or, Josuke can break down a wall to escape and then repair the wall behind him to cut off the pursuing enemy.
The villainous Risotto Nero once belonged to La Squadra, a gang of elite Stand-using assassins, and he was among the deadliest members of all. His Stand is named Metallica, an entity that can manipulate the iron found in the enemy's own blood.

Metallica can, when ordered, travel inside the enemy's body and reshape the iron to form dozens of sharp razors and scissors that burst out from under the victim's skin. This is a terrifying and devastating attack that very few Stand users can defend against.
7/10 The World Commands Time Itself
The legendary vampire Dio wielded the most fearsome Stand in Stardust Crusaders. This golden being was capable of devastating melee attacks, and then its special attack, the time-freezing ability, ranks among the most potent in all of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. It's a miracle Jotaro survived it.
The World can, on command, freeze time and only make exceptions for itself and Dio to move around freely. Even the most powerful or cleverest enemy Stand users can't do a thing in this state, and Dio can kill them with ease. Fortunately, Jotaro learned to mimic this power and turn it against its creator.
6/10 Heaven's Door Can Rewrite People's Minds
Heaven's Door only has one special attack and no melee attacks, but that is sufficient for manga artist Rohan Kishibe's purposes. With this petite humanoid Stand, Rohan can view the contents of a person's mind like an open book, and he can even revise that mental book to suit his needs.

This special attack is mostly used defensively, with Rohan writing something like "I won't attack Rohan anymore" in the enemy's mental book to avoid further combat. But in theory, Rohan can use this amazing special attack to make his target do, or forget, anything he wishes.
5/10 Death 13's Attack Is JoJo Freddy Krueger
The scythe-wielding Stand named Death 13 is highly unusual, since it only appears in people's dreams rather than in real life. Its wielder, the infant boy named Mannish Boy, is helpless in real life, but he becomes a total monster once his enemies fall asleep, and he won't hesitate to kill.
In dreamland, Mannish Boy assassinates his opponents with his one-sided special attack, and there's nothing the enemy can do. Other people cannot summon their Stands in their dreams, and a person cannot damage or destroy a Stand bare-handed. Thus, Death 13 is less of a warrior and more of an executioner.
4/10 Bites The Dust Can Reverse Time Once Triggered
The sinister serial killer Yoshikage Kira can use several special attacks with his Stand, Killer Queen. One of them is the remarkable Bites the Dust ability, a technique Killer Queen gained after the Stand Arrow entered the picture. Bites the Dust is usually used to hide Kira's secret identity, and it does an effective job.

Bites the Dust will implant itself into a target, and if that person reveals Yoshikage's identity, Bites the Dust goes off. It will explode and kill everyone involved, then reverse time back one hour. With all that going on, surely no one will ever discover who Yoshikage Kira really is.
3/10 Air Bomb Transmutation Combines Two Stands
Yoshikage Kira encountered a plant-like Stand that could create large air bubbles, and he soon found a way to use that ability for himself. He placed the plant inside Killer Queen's chest, and once the plant launches a bubble, Kira can use Killer Queen's ability to turn it into a bomb.
The invisible air bomb is nearly impossible for the enemy to see or avoid, so Kira can easily hit his opponents with this remarkable special attack. This also means Kira has a limitless supply of bombs — when one is set off, the plant can simply make another.
2/10 Green Day Can Infect Anyone To Death
The ultra-cruel Stand user Cioccolata wields an equally deadly Stand named Green Day. This humanoid Stand can perform melee attacks, but its special mold-based attack is where its true strength lies. In theory, Green Day's special attack could wipe out entire cities, if given the chance.
Green Day spreads a fast-growing mold that infects all living beings, and the mold can easily spread from one host to another. Notably, the mold usually spreads when a person becomes physically lower, so Cioccolata relies on his ally Secco to tear up the ground and force people to become lower.
1/10 Gold Experience Requiem Can Defeat Anyone
The protagonist Giorno Giovanna was already a formidable fighter with his Gold Experience Stand and its ability to turn items into living plants or animals. Near the end of Golden Wind, though, Giorno needed more power to defeat Diavolo, and that was when the Stand arrow came into play.
With that arrow's aid, Gold Experience took on its Requiem form. This Stand's devastating special attack can lock the target in an infinite loop of deaths, and that was the fate of Diavolo himself. He wasn't just defeated — Diavolo experienced an eternity of torment, dying and coming back to life in an endless loop.
